Cancellations/Refunds
The Savoy Theatre has a strict no refund policy, which includes both “Savoy Presents” and rental events.
Events cancelled or postponed by the Savoy, it’s rental clients or artists, will be given the option of a full refund of their tickets which can be credited to their account if requested or the option to rebook if there is a rescheduled date.
In the event of extreme weather forecasts or other extraordinary situations, the Savoy retains the right to cancel “Savoy Presents” events. Rental events produced by clients or artists have the right to proceed as they see fit.
In the event of a cancellation or postponement, Savoy staff will make every reasonable effort to contact ticket holders to notify them of the change. We use social media, e-blast emails, and when time is possible, will attempt to contact by phone. It is important to have accurate contact information on your account to help staff contact ticket holders successfully. In cases where more than one ticket is sold on an order, we are only able to contact the named ticket holder on record, therefore it is the responsibility of the purchasing customer to contact individuals that were joining them for the event.
If you no longer can attend a specific event date, you contact our box office, and we will make every effort to accommodate you for another evening.
Theatre Etiquette Reminders
No food or drink is allowed within the theatre, except for water.
Alcoholic beverages purchased at the Savoy must be consumed in the lobby and are not permitted within the auditorium.
Behaviour like talking, repeated coughing, or unwrapping candies, can be distracting to those around you in the audience and on the stage. Please do your best to be courteous to those around you. Individuals that are causing distractions may be asked by Savoy volunteers or staff to alter their behaviour.
The Savoy Theatre is a scent free facility. Please be mindful of wearing scented products for those in our community that experience sensitivities.
Theatre management reserves the right to ask unruly patrons to leave the facility if they are exhibiting problematic or abusive behaviours. Patrons that are removed from the property will not be given a refund for their tickets.
Photography and Cellphones
Unless otherwise indicated, recording performances in any way (pictures/video) is strictly prohibited. Listen to the pre-show announcements or ask Savoy staff if you have any questions regarding recording. In cases where limited recording is allowed, please be aware and considerate of those around you. Flash photography must always be disabled.
Please turn off your cellular devices before the show. Texting or speaking on the phone during a performance is not acceptable and will be enforced by staff.
Live performances are meant to be experienced live! What you’re seeing will never be done the same way twice. Enjoy the performance in the moment.
Latecomers
Events start on time. Please consider travel time, parking, dining reservations, etc., when planning your outing.
Latecomers will be permitted entry to the theatre at the discretion of Savoy management.
Patrons are welcome to leave the auditorium at any time, if necessary, but are asked to be mindful as you leave and return. Please note that you will be held for re-entry to the auditorium by staff that will let you in at an appropriate time to minimize distractions to audience members and performers.
